Following on from last years successful Graduate Artist Residency Programme, we are once again seeking submissions from artists for a 2014 summer Graduate Residency. We are particularly interested in graduates whose practices involve Sculpture, Landscape Art or Performance and are seeking submissions from those who will make the most of the spaces available at the Centre.
Westbury is set in a 17th Century Farmhouse with a barn and gardens, in the Shenley Wood area of Milton Keynes. The historic building is occupied by sixteen other artists and practitioners, working in a range of disciplines. There is an extensive programme of events happening throughout the year, including workshops, exhibitions and performances.
The artists will be supported throughout the residency from June to August with time and space to research and explore new work.
There is no fee associated with the residency so artists will need to be self funding, however the Arts Centre offers studio space, mentoring by experienced artists and subsidised access to workshops and events. There will also be a Graduate Exhibition at the end of the residency.
Interested applicants may send a 500 word proposal along with a CV and 6 images of work or links to websites,
Closing date 30th April 2014.
